About MoneyMintPath

Hey, I'm Mint.

I'm the founder and writer behind MoneyMintPath, and I built this blog for a simple reason. A few years ago I had no savings, no investments, and no real idea where my money was going every month. I was living paycheck to paycheck and quietly stressed about it most of the time.

I didn't fix that with a finance degree or a big salary. I fixed it the slow way. Reading, testing things, making mistakes, and slowly figuring out what actually works for a normal person on a normal income. MoneyMintPath is where I share what I learned, in plain language, so you don't have to learn it all the hard way like I did.

What Makes This Blog Different

Most personal finance advice online is written by people who have never had to budget $12 to the end of the month. This blog is the opposite. Everything here comes from real experience and real numbers.

When I write about paying off debt, it's because I paid off my own. When I write about emergency funds, it's because I built one starting from zero. When I review budgeting apps, it's because I actually downloaded and used them. No theory. No fluff. Just what works.

Every article is:
  • Written from direct personal experience, not recycled advice
  • Backed by real figures (real savings amounts, real debt payoff timelines, real numbers)
  • Written in plain English with no confusing jargon
  • Focused on practical steps you can actually take this week
  • Fact-checked against primary sources including the IRS, Federal Reserve, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

My Background With Money

I'm not a licensed financial advisor and I won't pretend to be one. What I am is someone who has spent more than three years deep in personal finance, both in my own life and in constant research. Along the way I have:
  • Paid off consumer debt using the debt avalanche method
  • Built a six-month emergency fund starting from $0
  • Started investing in index funds and retirement accounts
  • Grown my savings rate from basically nothing to over 30% of my monthly income
  • Personally tested and reviewed more than 8 budgeting apps
  • Studied IRS publications, Federal Reserve data, and CFPB resources to ensure accuracy in every article
  • Published personal finance analysis on Medium reaching readers beyond this blog
I also write about using AI tools like ChatGPT for personal finance planning, and I actively research how technology is changing how regular people manage their money.
